ICCMO India

The ICCMO India Section became the 8th section of ICCMO (International College of Craniomandibular Orthopaedics) on 30th March 2017 in Buenos Aires during its 19th International Congress.

The First Annual General Body Meeting of ICCMO India Section for its official launch was held at the Cosmopolitan Club, Jayanagar, Bangalore on Sunday, 13th August 2017.
The constitution was adopted; the organization registration process was formulated, and the first team of board members for the organization was approved. The 22 founder members from all over India met with a single goal to pursue and spread awareness about the physiology of occlusion through Neuromuscular Dentistry and Biometrics.

The 1st ICCMO India Congress explored the theme “Measuring Occlusion & muscle physiology“ and was the first ever specialty conference in South Asia, on Neuro Muscular Dentistry. It was held in August 2018 in Bengaluru and featured renowned speakers from all around the world covering topics related to treating temporomandibular joint disorders, obstructive sleep apnea, postural disorders, etc.

Glimpses of our 1st ICCMO India Congress

The 2nd ICCMO India Congress in Association with ICCMO Russia “The Airway Truth“ was scheduled to be held in 2020, but was cancelled owing to the Covid19 pandemic. The aim of the conference was to raise awareness about the importance of treating specific airway conditions which impair normal breathing during consciousness and sleep. As a mark of respect to those anticipating the Congress, it was decided to host the conference on an online platform. The registered delegates attended the same on 26 – 27 Sept 2020 & 2 – 4 Oct 2020.ICCMO India also celebrated 2 October 2020 as International Oxygen Day by spreading the word about the importance of clear, unobstructed airways.
